As gospel music evolves in an ever-changing environment, the National and Independent Gospel Music Association (N.I.G.M.A.) embraces new opportunities to foster growth in all areas of gospel music. N.I.G.M.A. aims to establish itself as the preeminent arts advocacy and outreach organization in the country by recognizing the best in music and striving toward positive goals. The organization’s mission statement, though simple, represents the heart and soul of its efforts to positively impact the lives of musicians, soloists, choirs, groups, and the gospel industry at large. N.I.G.M.A. also aims to provide scholarships to youth pursuing degrees in Fine Arts, Marketing, Public Relations, Music, Entertainment, and Business. The association is composed of top executives, record label owners, radio announcers, pastors, community leaders, gospel and special event promoters, and gospel artists.
